Description
African-American boys' band at Work Projects Administration (W. P. A.) exhibition "American Hands in Action" held at the Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium from April 25-May 14, 1939. The boys and young men are seated orchestra style in semi-circles. A young boy stands and leads the band from the front of the band. All of the band members are wearing white slacks, shirts and hats. They are playing different instruments, including trombone, saxophone, trumpet and euphonium.
