Abstract
Women within the corrections system in the United States has reached staggering numbers. Suicide in the United States corrections system is the leading cause of natural death. This research provides an examination of jail programming's impact on women's suicidality and mental health symptomology. Results showed preliminary support for a holistic, trauma informed program to decrease suicidal ideation and the presence of mental health symptomology.
