Abstract
The growth of Wireless Sensor Network research has brought about the need for tools to help developers rapidly develop applications for various platforms. In the pursuit of these capabilities, this work deals with the design of a graphical approach to development of Wireless Sensor Network applications for implementation in the LabVIEW Graphical Development Environment. The work done also covers the implementation and development of the Sound and Vibration Toolkit for LabVIEW. The implementation of these tools in developing a novel test-bed at the Distributed Intelligence and Automation Laboratory at the ARRI at UT Arlington is also shown. This work is supported by The National Science Foundation IIS-0326505 grant, The National Science Foundation CNS-0421282 grant, The Army Research Office grant M-47928-CI-RIP-05075-1, The Army Research Office grant W91NF-05-1-0314, Singapore SERC TSRP grant 0421120028 and a National Instruments Lead User Grant.
