Description

Effectively choosing and using a generative AI (GenAI) tool requires an understanding of the environmental, ethical, and practical implications of this emerging technology. This workshop aims to teach the principals of prompt engineering, or the process of creating commands that will produce better responses from generative AI models. Participants will also learn strategies for mapping prompts to the research lifecycle from ideation through publication. Discussion will place an emphasis on the responsible use of the technology and identifying contexts where GenAI may provide useful results, and contexts where its use may be less appropriate.
