Thomas L. Yates, right, campaign chairman for the Fort Worth Community Chest, unrolls message taken from the leg of a pigeon held by its owner, Joe Rowland of 1108 Eilac Lane. The message was from W. Crawford Fullilove, president of the Caddo- Bossier Community Chest, wishing Fort Worth success in its drive. Published in the Fort Worth Star - Telegram morning edition, October 9, 1950.
