Raymond Mendez , 16-year-old Tech High School student, will be a top contender for the novice featherweight title in the regional Golden Gloves tournament at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Mendez recently won the novice featherweight title in the Denton district meet. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition December 26, 1951.
