Data Type

Secondary, study-level aggregate data extracted from published and grey-literature intervention studies for a systematic review and multilevel meta-analysis. The data include sample sizes, means, and standard deviations by study arm, outcome (PTSD, anxiety, depression), and assessment occasion; computed effect sizes (Hedges’ g) and sampling variances; study, intervention, and moderator codes; and risk-of-bias ratings. No individual participant data are included. File formats: comma-separated values (.csv) for the analytic dataset and codebook, R scripts (.R) for analysis, and a Word document (.docx) for the supplementary materials.

Abstract

This document provides the online supplementary materials for a systematic review and multilevel meta-analysis of psychosocial interventions for PTSD, anxiety, and depression among immigrant and refugee youth (59 studies). It reports the detailed review methods that could not be included in the main article: eligibility criteria, information sources and full database search strategies, study selection with reasons for full-text exclusion, data extraction and moderator coding, effect-size formulas, multilevel random-effects model specifications, moderator and small-study-effect procedures, and the risk-of-bias and GRADE approaches. It also presents the study-level results supporting the article: the contribution of each study to each synthesis, RoB 2 and ROBINS-I ratings, a GRADE summary of findings, forest plots and tables of within-group and between-group effects at posttest and follow-up, heterogeneity statistics, funnel plots and Egger-type tests, and sensitivity analyses (assumed correlations, randomized trials only, reconstructed and extreme effects, leave-one-study-out, risk-of-bias restrictions, and alternative standardization).
