Description
In a colorful silk sari is Mrs. Piloo Maneckji, wife of General Maneck J. Maneckji, Bombay, India. Mrs. Maneckji organized Indian women to help in the war crisis when China attacked India, led a Home Guard team from Bombay to Assam and helped set up first aid stations in battle areas. She was decorated for distinguished service by the president of India. General and Mrs. Maneckji are in Fort Worth on business. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening June 29, 1963.
