Description
Walls tumbled into Main Street as demolition began in the 14-block Tarrant County Convention Center site. Cables were laced through vacant store and hotel fronts and a bulldozer and crane applied power to slice through old brickwork. Dust rose so thick spectators could not see across the street. This photograph was made as the last of a block-long row of buildings felt the wreckers touch. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition June 29, 1965
