Description
Unlike most Cubans at the beginning of Fidel Castro's regime, Mr. and Mrs. Rafael Marquez, then in financial clover, quietly resolved that Communist ideology was not going to creep into the minds of their children. They took the youngsters out of the propagandized Cuban schools, and kept them out for a year. The family's arrival here in October, sponsored by Boulevard Methodist Church, climaxed their resistance. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition February 21, 1963
