Description
A visitor to the Fort Worth Art Center is admiring a painting that looks like it might have been the victim of Steven Stewart's whitewash brush, but a local art critic says that is the way the artist painted it. The critic says the ideas is to paint a canvas, then paint over the painting with white paint. Thats what the critic says of the painting, entitled "Miaco Series" by Sam Frances, part of the permanent display at the center. Stewart, at left, was whitewashing the center in preparation for the Tiffany Table Setting Show. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning edition May 7, 1969.
