Gregory Rivera, 18 year-old Paschal graduate, has received a total of $5,800 in art scholarships, including the $5,000 Nordan Scholarship to Texas Christian University. The young artist who won first place in the 1966 University of Dallas show, also received a $500 grant from the Fort Worth Jaycees and $300 award from the Texas Fine Arts Association. Rivera began taking art classes at the Fort Worth Art Center when in the fourth grade. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning edition July 5, 1967.
