Description
Phillip South, 14, entered this smashed clock tied to wire and mounted on the clock face in the Forest Oak Junior High art show. Dr. Richard Laing , professor of art at North Texas State in Denton, judged the more than 750 exhibits. Stephanie Foster, ninth grader, took best in show with an abstract landscape painting. Mike Sarchet, ninth grader, won best in sculpture. There were 26 categories in addition to awards won by Mike and Stephanie. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition April 14, 1967.
