Description
String sections of the Youth Orchestra are presently attending two rehearsals a week to insure pitch, tempo and melody for their first appearance in Fort Worth. They will give their first concert in the Bell High School auditorium in Hurts. The program is being sponsored by the Bell Blue Raider Band and the Hurst Sonata Club as a benefit for the orchestra's instrument fund. As soon as it amasses enough money, the Youth Orchestra will purchase percussion equipment so it will not have to rely on the Symphony. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition April 21, 1967.
