Description
Furniture of the Louis XV and XVI periods is predominant in a setting created by Jim Faulkner of "The Shop" in Dallas for the Fine Furniture Show" The cantaloupe shade used on walls and repeated in the oriental carpet was inspired by shades of the painting over the mantel, "Jean With a Hoop", by Renoir, recently given to the Fort Worth Art Center by Mr. and Mrs. J. Lee Johnson II. Louis XV desk in foreground, more "citified" than other furniture in the room, is finished in black lacquer with ormolu mounts, and topped with leather.
