Mrs. Clifton H. Lawrence, right, won the "best of show" tri-color and "best of class" blue ribbon with her "Woman in Green" held by Mrs. C. C. Brooks, chairman of the Woman's Club Art Department's annual spring exhibition. The portrait study of Mrs. A. V. Scott, also an Art Department painter, was entered in the oils class, taught by Calvin Grigg. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning edition May 24, 1965.
