Description
Two cocktail costumes showing in this picture are designed by Kay Selig. Anita, left models of white Alaskine, beaded with crystals and pearls on the jacket lapels. Beneath the jacket is a dress with a cowl-neck bodice of azalea pink matte jersey, and a skirt of the white Alaskine silk and wool combination. The costume at right, an unidentified model, has an overblouse of gold and silver souffle brocade, outlined at the elbow-length sleeves and the waistline with a fringe of gold beads. When the overblouse is removed, the dress beneath is a low cut, floating skirted dance dress of candlelight chiffon. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning September 29. 1963.
