Sally Guenther, 16, won the Fort Worth Musicians Union Local 72 contest for strings at Texas Christian University and a chance to attend the American Federation of Musicians Congress of Strings at Michigan State University. She received a $300 scholarship. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition April 29, 1963.
