Correspondence from Robert Lee Carter from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) to L. A. Ashley. The letter states that the NAACP plans on revoking the certification of the Independent Metal Workers Union, Local 1. The argument they stated was that "the local cannot act as an appropriate collective for employees because it discriminates black employees".
