Bill Taylor Papers

Bill Taylor (1944-1995) established the “PATCO Lives” Hotline and kept PATCO records in Washington, D.C. The Professional Air Traffic Controllers Union (PATCO) was organized in January 1968 and conducted a major strike in August 1981 in which most PATCO members struck and were then fired by President Ronald Reagan. Collection materials span 1968-1994 and include newsletters, correspondence, legal documents, Executive Board meeting minutes, FAA relations, membership forms and survey, and strike materials.
