Abstract
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is a type of therapy that focuses on staying grounded and being in the present moment. Our booth will consist of two main parts. The first two hours will have the option of the VR mindfulness experience, and the last two hours will have the option of participating in yoga. For the mindfulness experience, people can come up and wear the VR headset with a guided meditation video ready to play. For those joining the yoga sessions, there will be yoga mats provided and an instructor available to lead the sessions. Throughout the event, breathing exercises will be held at our main booth, where people may come and try it out for themselves. We want everyone to come out with the knowledge of how to start meditating, and find other ways to clear their minds in moments where it is needed. Wooden affirmation cards will be given away so participants can have something to remember us by.
